Step 2: To start the process we will need you to send us a full resumé including a picture in professional attire attached. The resumé must not exceed 2 pages. In addition, a letter of motivation must be included stating in detail:

  • When you would like to start your training?
  • What you are looking for as far as a traineeship and in which department or departments you are interested in?
  • Why you want to do this traineeship in your chosen country?
  • How do you think this traineeship is going to be valuable for your career?
  • Your plans for after your training period.

Step 3: Complete gathering of documents required in the check list above. If you have all documents ready before the next step, there will be no delay in completing Steps 4 & 5 and we will be able to start your search that much faster.

Step 4: If your credentials are acceptable, USA Placement will call by phone to conduct a short preliminary interview with you to determine your level of English and to verify credentials.

Step 5: Once you pass the preliminary interview, USA Placement must receive all documents and materials from check list above. Once your document file is complete, the second and final interview with USAP will be conducted.

Step 6: Upon acceptance into USA Placement's program, you will receive, via e-mail, a package of materials (a contract and two documents) that you must complete and return immediately, along with a US $500 registration. Once the payment is received, USA Placement begins researching possible traineeship opportunities.

Step 7: If a suitable host hotel is found, a phone interview is arranged.

Step 8: If the host hotel chooses to work with you, USA Placement or its affiliate will forward U.S. visa information which you must complete and return immediately. Once these documents have been processed, USAP or its affiliate will send you the necessary documents for you to take to the local U.S. Embassy in your country for processing.

Visa Information Notes: Final payment of fees is required before your visa application will be sent out. Please visit our Fees and Policies page for this information. You must have your own health insurance, which is available through our affiliate. This is required to obtain a U.S. visa. Your host hotel will not provide this.

Step 9: Final Checklist. Upon finding a suitable traineeship, USA Placement will:

  • Arrange pick up at the airport if necessary.
  • Work with you to locate suitable housing near your host hotel.
  • Inform you of your stipend (USA Placement requires its host hotels to pay a stipend of not less than $1,750 per month, some locations higher.)

How long will it take? From payment of initial research fee to trainee placement, our process takes an average of 3 to 4 weeks but will search for up to 8 weeks.
